Morning before sunrise at the La Baie waterfront site.

The Parc national de Plaisance (Plaisance National Park in English) is located on the Quebec side of Ottawa river between Ottawa and Montreal. It is set on the peninsula sticking out into the river and cutting the body of water into the bays.

Needless to say that the park location is perfect pick for the flat water paddling. You can start from the waterfront site, the boat  launch or the beach and explore the Baie Parisien. Or you can park at the office building and start you trip up the Rivière la Petite-Nation towards the waterfalls. The return trip would take about 4 hours. The rentals are by the office building as well.
